The Gnu Pharma ECS Model
Humans require very basic and specific resources to function properly. The GnuPharma model is based on our knowledge and research of the ECS (Endocannabinoid System*) It is the daily need for plant based flavonoids that when depleted our bodies potentially break down along our “weakest” genetic links resulting in inflammation – which in turn can lead to disease and or pain.
In our ECS model, it has been established that plant based flavonoids are often missing or lacking from our diet which may cause deficiencies. In general, these resources are lacking in our everyday diet and are not present in the quantities that are required to properly mediate the pain response. The ECS needs the vitamins and minerals from these basic resources to fire neurons needed for the ECS to function properly. In our model, we create a clear firing of CB1 and CB2 receptors and more heavily influence the CB2 receptor by providing the proper ECS resources. Fit contains a proprietary herb formulation specifically targeting CB1 neuroreceptor and CB2 neuroreceptor.
Gnu Pharma Science
According to major scientific and government research, human function, feeling, repair, and organ reaction is controlled by the ECS. The ECS functions sit atop the hypothalamus and the central nervous system (CNS) and directly effect messaging for all brain function. It is this same system that GnuPharma ECS products safely assist in healing and controlling a multitude of brain, organ, and body interaction. This unique control allows GnuPharma to safely mimic drug interactions, similar to opium & nicotine, or initiate maintenance and reparative function required by all body organs. GnuPharma’s technology can mitigate pain, stress, and reparative action by Stem Cells. There is virtually no know human function that is not monitored, maintained and repaired by the ECS System.
ECS- Resource Driven
In late 2014 into 2015, GnuPharma (founded by Charles “Chip” Paul) began to develop a “theory” of human function based on something called the endocannabinoid system or ECS. Current NIH research strongly indicates that the ECS is the master regulatory system in many different human silos of function; including human development, feeding and craving behavior, digestion, reproduction, the immune response, the pain response, hormone release and control, stem cell cueing, mood, addiction, and just about any other silo you can imagine. It really was not much of a “leap” for GnuPharma to speculate that the ECS was your “everything” system as to regulation, control, and feedback with the intelligence laying at the hypothalamus. Further, research heavily indicated that the ECS is a resource driven system needing daily resources, similar to vitamins and minerals, to function properly. In fact this can be argued all the way down to the cellular level.
In order to prove this theory, GnuPharma needed a system of influence on the endocannabinoid system. Our founder read in research about plant based flavonoids, such as cocoa and capsaicin, effecting the ECS in a similar fashion as THC. Further, he contemplated that while “we all
have an endocannabinoid system, not all of us use cannabis – so how do we nurture it?” By using herbs which can be mapped to flavonoids, which can be further mapped to neurological influence on the major endocannabinoid neuro-receptors, Paul was able to engineer what he thought would be a medical cannabis substitute. By virtue of the herbal system, Paul was able to tune this herbal formulation between “indica” and “sativa” – two ends of the cannabis medical spectrum. A “sativa” would produce a bright, sunny, and energetic effect…while an “indica” would product a relaxed and calm effect. By adjusting ratio’s Paul was able to predict effects and those effects were measured against expected outcomes. The result was our first “pain” formulation which mimicked an “indica” and where anecdotal evidence from the medical cannabis community said that a pain solution should live.
The ECS is Resource Driven
We all understand the need for vitamins and mineral, without them our bodies break down and do not function properly. Our science would indicate there is another player in the picture. Which we know as plant based flavonoids. These flavonoids feed our ECS system. We require them daily to function properly. Two examples:
- neuron firing. We all understand that our neurons need to “fire” to perform actions within our body. During a normal central nervous system (CNS) event, a neuron would be stimulated and release chemical mediators called neurotransmitters. In a normal CNS event these chemical mediators are stored in vesicles within a neuron and release when stimulated. In an ECS CNS event, no chemical mediators are stored… THEY ARE MANUFACTURED at the time of the event. No resources = improper neurological firings.
- reverse signaling. We were all taught in high school science that our neurons fire in one direction only. In the late 1990’s scientists began to see what they thought was a reverse signaling process. In 2000 this was termed as DSI and it was speculated that a particular chemical mediator was responsible. It turns out that the chemical mediator responsible for reverse signaling is also a major ECS ligand – something called 2-Arachidonoylglycerol or 2-AG. Without this endocannabinoid ligand, well, we just flat would not work. Just like every other chemical mediator this is a resource and you need pre-cursors.
How to Support a Healthy Endocannabinoid System:
Similar to vitamins and minerals we have found that plant based flavonoids are critical to health. What are flavonoids? Flavonoids are molecules that give plants their physical properties – so licorice tastes and smells like licorice because of the flavonoids found in the licorice plant.
Current research indicates the medicinal value of these plant based flavonoids and pharmaceutical companies spend billions of dollars yearly to discover new ones. As an example, green tea and cocoa have a flavonoid called epicatechin, used by pharmaceutical companies in asthma and COPD medications.
GnuPharma firmly believes in this science while, most flavonoids are still deeply mysterious to modern science. Research would indicate that, minimally, they provide the following beneficial effects:
Flavonoids are also the largest group of phytonutrients, which are defined as nutrients that have been scientifically proven to provide health benefits, allowing for optimal cellular function and communication. When our cells are communicating effectively, the proper sequence of enzymatic reactions take place. This all leads to biochemical reactions creating healthier tissues and organ systems, detoxification of foreign substances, a strong immune system, and muscles that will perform when called upon. These molecules are found in almost all fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Herbal products provide many of these flavonoids that are missed due to diet deficiencies, environment influences, stress and illness.
It is important to review your entire health program, including diet, sleep, and exercise programs. We recommend using herbal products to assist in moving to optimal health.
